AniQuiz is a web app — play in any browser on desktop or mobile, with no app to download. No ads during gameplay, no signup for solo play. 1,200+ anime, 35,000+ approved trivia questions, 24 game modes, and server-authoritative real-time multiplayer for up to 8 players with voice chat. Built and maintained by one person — an independent project, free to play.
Why this site exists
The big anime sites (MyAnimeList, AniList, IMDb) are great catalogs. They're not great quiz games. Sporcle and JetPunk have anime sections that haven't been updated in years. Discord quiz bots are clunky. There was room for a fast, modern, mobile-friendly trivia game that actually keeps up with what's airing this season — so I built one.
Every quiz mode here was picked because I'd want to play it. Eyes Only came from arguing with a friend about whether you could identify anime characters from just their eye design (you can, mostly). The OP 1-second mode came from those YouTube videos where people guess the song from a single chord. Anidle is a Wordle clone but for anime.

Curated continuously since launch from Anime Corner + Anime Trending fan polls (2020 onward) plus the all-time MAL top list — reviewed for quality and audited for spoilers before going live.
Content + licensing
Anime cover art, character portraits, OP/ED audio clips, and quotes are short-form excerpts used under DMCA-safe-harbor and fair-use doctrines — the same legal lane MyAnimeList, AniList, and IMDb operate in. OP/ED audio is sourced from the AnimeThemes community project with per-clip provenance tracked in the database. DMCA takedown agent is registered; per-clip removal is one URL and a 10-business-day SLA.
AniQuiz is not affiliated with any anime studio, publisher, licensor, streaming service, or fan project — and it is notthe same as the unrelated mobile apps that happen to share the name “AniQuiz”. This is an independent, web-only site at aniquiz.app.
